Farmioc is an Agri Intelligence & Commodity Trading Ecosystem focused on helping businesses across the agriculture and food value chain make better, data-driven decisions.

Its products include DataStore, PriceHub, MarketHub, AgriTools, and AGVISOR, covering agricultural data, market intelligence, commodity trading, analytics, and decision-support use cases.

We are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to work closely with customers, business stakeholders, and Farmioc's engineering and product teams.

You will understand customer problems, work with their data and existing systems, and build practical technical solutions using Farmioc's products and capabilities.

The role involves a mix of customer discovery, software development, data integration, APIs, analytics, prototyping, and production support. Depending on the use case, you may also work on AI-enabled applications such as LLM, RAG, or agent-based workflows.

You will take ownership of solutions from understanding the problem through implementation, deployment, and support.

• Work directly with customers and business stakeholders to understand their workflows, requirements, and technical challenges.

• Understand use cases related to agricultural data, commodity prices, market intelligence, supply and demand, analytics, and trading.

• Translate business requirements into clear technical requirements and implementation plans.

• Understand customer data sources, existing systems, APIs, and integration requirements.

• Identify how Farmioc products and capabilities can address customer needs.

• Design and develop practical solutions based on customer requirements.

• Build integrations using Python, REST APIs, databases, and third-party services.

• Develop data workflows, scripts, dashboards, APIs, or application components where required.

• Build prototypes and proof-of-concepts to validate solutions quickly.

• Take validated solutions into production and extend existing Farmioc capabilities where appropriate.

• Work with customer data and integrate it with relevant agricultural and market data.

• Map data fields, metrics, terminology, and business rules between customer systems and Farmioc solutions.

• Build workflows for analysis, reporting, market intelligence, and decision support.

• Identify opportunities where AI or automation can provide practical business value.

• Build AI-enabled solutions using technologies such as LLMs, RAG, or AI agents where appropriate.

• Validate data and AI outputs and choose simpler solutions when AI is not required.

• Support solution testing, deployment, and validation across environments.

• Troubleshoot application, API, database, data, and integration issues.

• Work with customers to validate solutions and resolve technical issues.

• Monitor and investigate reliability or performance issues where required.

• Coordinate with Farmioc engineering and product teams for changes to core systems.

• Document solutions, integrations, and implementation details.

• Identify recurring customer problems and opportunities for product improvements.

• Share customer feedback and implementation learnings with engineering and product teams.

• Identify reusable capabilities that can benefit multiple customers.

• Participate in technical discussions around integrations, architecture, and product improvements.

• Help improve the reliability and usability of customer-facing solutions.

• 3–5 years of experience in software engineering, solutions engineering, implementation engineering, data engineering, AI engineering, or a related field.

• Strong Python programming and practical software engineering experience.

• Good understanding of REST APIs, SQL, databases, and backend systems.

• Experience building or integrating production applications and data workflows.

• Ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

• Experience working with data, analytics, or AI-enabled applications.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Comfortable working directly with customers and cross-functional teams.

• Ability to work effectively with changing requirements and ambiguous problems.

• Experience in agriculture, agtech, commodity markets, supply chains, procurement, market intelligence, or business analytics.

• Experience building production applications using LLMs, RAG, or AI agents.

• Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or other relational and NoSQL databases.

• Experience integrating REST APIs and third-party services.

• Experience with dashboards or analytical applications.

• Familiarity with Docker, cloud platforms, and CI/CD.

• Experience in solutions engineering, implementation, consulting, or other customer-facing technical roles.

• Familiarity with agricultural or commodity data such as prices, market trends, supply, demand, production, yield, or weather.
